How long will it take to fill in my account and menu

Creating the account, including the information and the complete digital menu, takes an average of twenty minutes. The application has for every type of quisine a list of dishes. Thousands of dishes are pre-programmed with their ingredients. Naturally you can easily add new dishes and ingredients to the program. If you have an existing menu, you can do this by using the cut and paste function. Your menu is translated directly on the webpage and all Android devices and iPhones.

What do I need to use UMENU™?

To create the business account and setup, you only need to have access to the Internet and have an e-mail address. If you want to receive orders from the terrace/ restaurant or for delivery/takeaway, you will need to have an Internet connection and a tablet or a PC and printer. All orders are processed in real-time in the program.

What is a QR-code and is it useful for me?

A QR-code is a square image consisting of black cubes. It works like a barcode. Your QR-code can be scanned by any mobile devices (iPhone, Android and Windows). After scanning, your information/menu will be displayed in the appropriate language of the user. Changes to your account, such as opening hours and menu prices are processed immediately and available through the QR-code. You can use the QR-code in small and large sizes, the size does not change the effect. Put the QR-code on your website and Facebook page or print the code on your menu, in advertisement or on advertising material.

Can I use UMENU without much computer experience?

Yes, even without computer experience, the system is easily set. Short guide movies help you through the usage. Each function briefly and clearly explained, how to fill in and use the function.

Can I log in from any computer?

Yes, you can control your account from any computer with internet connection..

Are my changes instantly reflected on all the (mobile) impressions?

Can I upload pictures of my company?

Yes, you can upload up to six pictures. These will be displayed as a slide show on you web page. This function works automaticly.

Can I place a promotional text?

Can I control mutable restaurants on one account?

Not yet. You have to create a seperate account for each restaurant. If you would like to use this function already, you can sumbit a request via the contact- or questions form.

Will my data be stored safely?

Yes, you will always work in a safe online environment. You can recognize this by the green bar/key in your web browser. UMENU uses VeriSign for its security.

For what is my restaurant data used?

Your address will be used to make the location and accessibility known to your audience. This data is in general public is used for e.g. route planners.

How does the free reservationsystem work?

Once the reservation system on your account is activated, the public can place a reservation trough mobile devices . You handle the reservations directly. You will receive an alert e-mail for each order that has been made.

What is a promotion dish?

After you have placed the dish in your digital menu, you can select one of these dishes as a special offer. Any offer will be displayed on the mobile phone if you scan the QR code. Your offer is to get more attention from your audience. The higher the discount, the more prominent and more it will be shown. If you do not give a discount, your offer will still be shown but less frequently. Your offer will be displayed in various languages. By using the QR code.

What is a voucher?

After you have filled in your digital menu, you can connect dishes to a voucher. Your guests can indicate at their arrival that they want to use a voucher. You can select a starter, main course and a dessert. Next you give the value of the dishes and the terms and conditions. After you have activated the voucher, it will be shown through the QR-code on every mobile device. Your voucher will be shown immediatley to your target. The higher the discount, the more times it will be shown. Your voucher will be displayed in various languages through your own QR-code(s).

How does the order system work?

Your customers can order online or by phone directly off your menu. All orders that have been placed will arrive on your order page. You can then take the order, process it, print the order and prepare it. Your guest gets updated about the status of its order.

Can I also link the order system to my own website for free?

Yes, you can. You can even link UMENU to your Facebook, Google or Twitter accounts. So you keep your social media in one place up to date.

Can I receive online payments?

If you have PayPall account, then you can implement this in the order system. Other payment modules are different per country.

Can I process payments with the mobile phone?

UMENU is specially made for future developments in the catering industry, such as mobile payments.

How does the terrace-room service work?

By using UMENU you can easily create a separate QR code for every table, chair or hotel room. When scanning the QR code, the guests can order from your digital menu. All orders come directly to you order page on your computer. This offers you the best service with a guarantee of higher sales. Your dishes, special offers and tourists menus are always accessible, updated and available in the language of your guests.

How to create a free employment advertisement?

You can see the 'Staff members' button in your account, a form where you can simply and quickly make a digital ad. With a few selections you make a ready-made employment advertisement that you can print out and hang up immediately.

Once you have made and saved your employment advertisement. The job is placed on the UMENU vacancy board. The vacancy will also appear on all your displays.
